Meet a Mom: Jaclyn of Hometown Flower Co. | Huntington & Smithtown Moms
If you haven’t already heard of Hometown Flower Co., you may have already seen them around and wondered what this little blue truck is all about! With #Spotbabyblue” a popular tagline within our community and beyond, they have taken Flower arrangements and events to a whole new level!
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
Woodbury and we have lived in Huntington Village for six years.
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
Two girls – August, 6; Sage, 4.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I am a third generation florist but only tapped into my floral genes when I started playing with flowers as a form of stress relief from my career in marketing/PR!
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

My husband. His maternal instincts really kicked into overdrive in the beginning when I struggled with postpartum. We also would be nothing without the help of our family- my mom in particular who has been our saving grace in helping out with our girls since they were both born.

Favorite things to do with your kids?
Have dance parties in which we sing at the top of our lungs. We are currently on a Hamilton kick.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
My husband and I own Hometown Flower Co., Long Island’s first mobile flower truck and digital florist. We exclusively work with locally-grown seasonal flowers and deliver in our signature “Flowers in a Bag” packaging all over the island. We also lead various floral workshops and are available for weddings and other special events.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
Community support has been everything to us! Since day one we have partnered with local businesses to pop-up and lead workshops, etc. If it wasn’t for the support of our local community and word-of-mouth buzz, we never would have been able to grow as we have! We are so grateful to all of our neighbors and to the Huntington Chamber of Commerce, which we are proud members of.
