Summer is around the corner, and we couldn’t be happier about it!
Summer Camp is an experience every child carries with them for a lifetime. The friends, the memories, and the fun they have helps to shape the person they will become.
We have some wonderful summer camps on Long Island- from your traditional day camps, to arts, sports and more!
We are proud to partner with some of our local Summer Camps this year to bring you information on their Summer Camp programs!
If you missed it, check out our National Sleep Away Camp Guide!
Our entire Staff, from Directors to Group leaders, are very much aware that the Camp Kenwal definition of a successful day camp is one that will cultivate the campers’ desire to participate, have fun and try their best! Years of working with children has taught us that “self-esteem is the reward for participating, without the pressure of having to win.” We believe that all campers at camp Kenwal are in their own way, and at their own level- winners!

Our camps have been created with families in mind and they are designed to be inclusive and available to everyone. That’s why we offer a full service camp program at a fraction of the cost of most other camps. In fact, our prices are lower than most babysitters too! Simply put, you will save money by enrolling your child in Camps ‘R’ Us, and he or she will have an amazing summer filled with fun, laughter and friends.
We offer camp programs in which enrollment is based on age and/or grade, and that are designed for children to learn, play and grow in a safe, supportive environment. Our camp programs are of the highest quality, and they are staffed by our expertly trained Counselors, Group Leaders and Directors.
Usdan opens up a world for children to joyfully express their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
Each summer, we bring professional teachers and artists—actors, directors, playwrights, painters, sculptors, musicians, composers, dancers, poets, and novelists—to teach and collaborate with our campers ages 5 to 18 from Long Island and New York City.
Set on 140 acres of natural beauty, Usdan is a safe, welcoming place within which campers have the freedom to build new friendships, explore nature, develop personal independence, and have fun, alongside their art making.

Camp Edey was first incepted in 1941 near Sag Harbor. In 1945, the camp’s Board of Directors voted to establish the camp in Bayport. Today, Camp Edey is located on 95 sprawling acres on the beautiful Sans Souci Lakes, has two pools, an archery range, miles of hiking trails, and even a frog-friendly pond.
Camp Sobaco, nestled on 42 acres in the heart of the Pine Barrens on the banks of the Carman’s River, is the home of the Discovery World STEM Center. Camp Sobaco also has miles of hiking trails, a treehouse, a large archery range, and a pool.

New expanded age range, 2½ to 10 years old!
This program is a wonderful opportunity for your child to spend his or her days learning Spanish as a second language. Teachers will immerse the children in the Spanish language through a non-intimidating, yet challenging “Spanish only” setting.
Our goal is to provide your child with meaningful Spanish language experiences in an anxiety-free, fun-filled Spanish setting. Children with no language proficiency or previous exposure, as well as the student who wants to improve his or her Spanish skills during the summer are welcome.
Students will experience the structure and sound of the language while participating in:
Outdoor time • Water play • Arts & Crafts • Music & Drama • Storytelling • Interactive games • Cultural activities • Snack-tivities • And More!
