Moms don’t have time for elaborate skincare routines – whether they’re mere mortals like us, or iconic model and entrepreneur Molly Sims. Recently, she shared her 5-minute skincare routine with The Local Moms Network CEO Layla Lisiewski. “We were in the sun for the last three months, so now it’s time to bring your retinols back, and incorportate brightening essentials to target any dark spots, hyperpigmentation and sun damage to the skin, while also continuing to protect your skin from the sun with SPF,” says Molly.
Below, she shares her daily routine, using her go-to Yse Beauty products, the skincare line she created.
Any skincare routine starts with a cleanser, and we loved the fresh feel of this one. “This is a gel-based cleanser which uses plant-based oils and antioxidants to help dissolve any buildup,” says Molly.
“This is my tried and true. You can genuinely use it morning or night, but I love using it in the morning to kick start the day,” says Molly. And we are now converts, too—the Glycolic Acid, PHAs and Ectoin combo retexturized, brightened and refreshed our skin.
Molly says everyone needs a Vitamin C serum in their regimen, and this one felt luxurious.
Molly says that even though we’re not in the sun as much now, using an SPF can prevent further damage and allow the other products to do their job. “I always finish off with our Skin Glow SPF 30 Primer. You can put it under makeup or just use as is. It really gives you a stunning glow, so I usually won’t put on anything over this before dropping off the kids,” says Molly, whose skin truly does look flawless up close.
At night, Molly adds The Problem Solver, with the the trifecta of Tranexamic Acid, Niacinamide, and Licorice Root Extract. It targets stubborn dark spots and hyperpigmentation while not irritating your skin. Says Molly: “Now that we’re exiting Summer, be sure to use at night either for spot treatment or all over the face.”
